Guangzhou Cooperation Office’s Divisions

1. Secretariat
Assist Guangzhou Cooperation Office (hereinafter referred to as “the Office”) leaders to handle daily government affairs and to perfect interior management system; in charge of various daily administrative and managerial affairs in terms of secretary, file, confidentiality, letters and visits, administrative litigation, logistics, meetings, finance, property, vehicles; supervising and handling of the Office’s important administrative matters; comprehensive arrangement of the Office’s conferences and activities; take in charge of the organizing and liaison of relevant departments in Guangzhou to receive delegations of other provinces, regions and cities’ visiting.
2. Comprehensive Research Division
Work out and supervise the implementation of domestic program in coordination, cooperation and annual plan in Guangzhou; in charge of the comprehensive research and policy study of economic and trade consultation, coordinated assistance, management of companies’ offices in Guangzhou, convention and exhibition, agent, etc; draw out relevant local regulations and rough rules; take charge of government information, external propaganda, editing & publication and brief work report; draw up important documents, reports and minutes; in charge of the statistics of domestic coordination and cooperation; in charge of the collection, arrangement and storage, transmission, development and application of domestic and foreign information recourses; establish and perfect the collaborative information network system.
3. Liaison Office (Liaison and Management Office for Offices in Guangzhou)
In charge of the sanction and submission of matters in establishing offices for companies out of Guangzhou; in charge of the coordination of community affairs between offices in Guangzhou and relevant Party, politics, military, police and citizen; organize companies to implement concerned matters of conventions and government orders; centralized management of offices in Guangzhou and its staffs within social groups citywide; in charge of relevant matters in assisting offices in Guangzhou to undertake related issues held by company-based government, and well preparation and management of our economic liaison organizations established in other provinces or cities.
4. Collaboration Division
Organize and coordinate Guangzhou and other parts of China to develop cross-regional, inter-departmental and cross-industrial coordination and cooperation within our country; promote the coordination and cooperation projects with other parts of China in economy, science and technology, education, culture, environment and sanitation and other fields, and in charge of these projects’ filtration, combination, inspection, urging, tracking and implementation; in charge of the organizing, planning, guiding and coordination for Guangzhou’s participating in west development; take charge of the liaison and coordination of Guangzhou with Economic and Technical Cooperation Region in Central-South China, Xijiang River Corridor Economic Coordination Committee and other regional economic cooperative organizations.
5. Unit-to-unit Support Office (with an office sign written with “Guangzhou Unit-to-unit-Support Development Economic Leading Group”)
In charge of the overall planning of the unit-to-unit support and assistance for Three Gorges Reservoir area and Baise, Guangxi; organizing, coordination, inspection and implementation of unit-to-unit support and assistance; in charge of the sanction and submission of the unit-to-unit support and assistance projects; in charge of the raising, management and using of Guangzhou unit-to-unit-support development fund; collection, summarizing and exchanging of unit-to-unit-support experiences and results; resolve problems raised during the assistance of Guangzhou supporting companies and recipient regions, in charge of the subsequent tracking, supervision and management of cooperative projects in unit-to-unit-support region for successive years; take charge of the daily work for Guangzhou Unit-to-unit-Support Development Economic Leading Group; undertake other support tasks appointed by Guangzhou government.
6. Marketing Development Division
Guild companies to develop market extension and to expand domestic demand; planning, guiding and coordination of the development of Guangzhou conference and exhibition industry; organize, guild and coordinate the daily work for Guangzhou Fair and Guangzhou Commodities Fair; assist the undertaking of all kinds of exhibitions and negotiation activities; organize Guangzhou companies to hold various forms of expositions and trade fairs in other parts of China; coordinate enterprises to develop material exchange, trade cooperation, market extension and Guangzhou goods promotion, etc in all parts of China; provide bilateral service for governments and agents; in charge of the guiding and coordination for Guangzhou Agent Industry Association and Guangzhou Association for the Promotion of Goods Market Development.
7. Political Division (joint work with discipline commission office and inspection office)
In charge of the Office, units directly under the Office and companies in Guangzhou in terms of organization mechanism, political and ideological work, Party building, personnel, propaganda, popularization and education of the law, labor insurance and welfare, job-title evaluation, United front, affairs concerning nationals living abroad, retired cadres management, comprehensive treatment, family planning, security, safeguard, discipline inspection, administrative inspection and union, the communist youth league and the women's federation; supervise important issues for party committee, supervising and discipline inspection.The office for supervising and discipline inspection is located in Political Division.
